Product Overview

Drill Bushing Tray Covers were developed directly in response to customer feedback, which requested the need for a solution to protect, retain, and contain drill bushings within the standard trays.

Development and Implementation

To address customer concerns, a Tray Cover was designed to snap securely over the Drill Bushing Tray. This innovation serves to protect and retain each drill bushing, ensuring that every bushing remains in its designated place during both storage and transport.

Over the past year, these tray covers have become a standard component of the Drill Bushing Sets. This enhancement has led to improved reliability and convenience for customers using these products.

Design Evolution

The initial version of the tray cover was made from PETG plastic. However, handling issues sometimes resulted in cracking, especially at the end tab that secured the cover to the tray.

With the latest production run in January 2026, the manufacturing process transitioned to using Thermoplastic Polymer (TPU) for the covers. TPU provides the required protection and retention properties, along with increased flexibility and outstanding resistance to wear and tear. This change ensures that the covers are much less likely to crack or deteriorate during their service life.

The straightforward design, combined with the advanced material, offers reliable and durable protection for the drill bushings. The cover greatly reduces the likelihood that bushings will fall out if the tray is overturned.
